Hugh W. Phillis, DMD
Hugh W. Phillis was born and raised in southern New Hampshire. His passion for dentistry has been profoundly shaped by his family’s deep roots in the field, as his father and two of his sisters are practicing orthodontists. Dr. Phillis completed his undergraduate education at Emory University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
During his dental education, he discovered a passion for saving teeth, alleviating pain, and improving patients’ quality of life. Dr. Phillis also earned multiple distinctions such as the Kasparian Scholarship and induction into the Robert R. Andrews Research Honor Society. After his dental training, Dr. Phillis pursued his passion for endodontics and completed a two-year residency in endodontics also at Tufts University.
Dr. Phillis is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, The American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is also a part-time faculty member at his alma mater, Tufts University. In his free time, Dr. Phillis enjoys traveling, soccer, and spending time with friends and family.
